The weekend started out on Friday night with open practice skating. Saturday the contests began and everyone was killing the parks all day trying to rank within their divisions. Almost every Pro in our industry was in attendance skating & hanging out with the competitors. The Industry trade show was a huge success as everyone got to see & sample new products from their favorite companies.
The day ended with an AIL award banquet. We had over 750 ppl in at the banquet with about 1500 - 2000 ppl in attendance to the event over the weekend. AMAZING!!! Competitors were highlighted as Brian Aaragon took home AIL athlete of the year & Chris Edwards was inducted in the AIL HALL OF FAME.
Congratulations to those athletes who turned ASA Pro this weekend:

The Pro event on Sunday was such a outstanding competition. Using a different format, the top 10 AM’s & Wild card Pro David Jones got to battle it out in the hangar with Crazy new adds to the course.
Chris Haffey took first place and the BIG MONEY! But we can not forget to mention the other guys who were tearing up the course! The New Pro’s: Andrew Hendrix, Andrew Jucuzzi, & Jacob Jules all made it into the top 10 finals with the Pro’s. The AIL Pro event TOP 10 In order of OFFICIAL placings):
Chris Haffey
Jeff Stockwell
Brian Aragon
Eric Bailey
David Sizemore
Jacob Juul
Brian Shima
Frankie Morales
Andrew Jacuzzi
Andrew Hendrix
The skating did not end as soon as the Pro event stopped. Erik Bailey wanted us to see more crazy stuff on the Satellite dish followed by Jimmy Heck who was telling us all that he should have been in that comp and by the trick he Threw….. no one could disagree.
On that note: We really do wish we could have allowed all Pro’s to participate. Our goal this year was to have a PRO Invitational where it highlighted our NEW top ten AM’s that turned ASA Pro.
So, again to see some great clips of this event log onto ONE magazines website! Wes Driver was there all weekend capturing great shots of the event.
A Huge THANK YOU AGAIN to all companies that came out to support & sent Product for all the competitors! A huge Thanks To ROLLERBLADE & WOODWARD to making the AIL WORLD FINALS & year a reality & SUCCESS!
So… Now its time for us to start planning next year! We have 40 stops planned.
