May 23rd & 24th, was a weekend filled with great events for the local Arizona skate scene. Gretchen & James from Revolution have really formed a strong inline community there. All the local skaters & parents support each other and are striving to continue growing the sport.
Revolution started the weekend off with a Friday evening video premiere of the new Radius Media issue. The scene then moved to the local Chandler skate park where everyone sessioned and hung out till way after dark.
The AIL event was held on Saturday morning at the Peoria City park. The 30,000 sq ft outdoor, concrete park was perfect location and believe it or not, the weather was nice & cool. Hundreds of people came out to compete, watch or support the event. Congratulations to everyone who skated and qualified for the AIL World Championships.

The AIL event was filled with amazing up and coming skaters as well as a special guest appearance from legendary, Dustin Latimore. Dustin hung out all day and then invited everyone back to the Revolution Skate Shop where Gretchen & James premiered his soon to be released video The Best of Dustin Latimore. The video was phenomenal and we encourage everyone to purchase a copy. It has great footage of Dustin skating and will take you back to the day that Dustin put his first pair of skates on, a pair of Vera Flex.
A huge thank you to our presenting sponsor, Woodward Camp and to Rollerblade for its continuous support. A BIG THANK YOU to Revolution Skate shop for making the weekend fun filled & successful and for the amazing skate scene in Arizona that they continue to grow. Last but not least, to the Peoria skate park & staff for allowing the AIL to put on an inline event. We look forward to going back again next year. Thank you to everyone who came out to support and help out. We appreciate all the staff that volunteer to make each of these events a success; James, Justin Mc Cloud, Aaron (music man) & friend, for judging & helping with the set-up & breakdown.
